Body Building Task Force Report Available On May 15th, the Church Council received a lengthy progress report from the Body Building Task Force. The detailed report documents the Task Force activities since it’s formation. The core message of the report is contained in 11 Recommendations for a Healthy Congregation. The BBTF has taken each of the 11 Recommendations and expounded upon methods of implementation. The Church Council agrees with the BBTF suggestion that this report be available for the entire First UMC family. Our Secretary, Carol Schmidt, has prepared 20 complete copies of the report available in the church office. A copy of the complete set of Recommendations was sent to each family of the church. In addition, the 11 Recommendations are listed here:

1. Listens To God
2. Does What Jesus Did (prays, forgives, reaches out, teaches, disciples, loves, cares, encourages, thanks)
3. Takes Ownership in the Church
4. Fellowships Together
5. Commits to the Body
6. Deals With Conflict
7. Communicates (transparency and honesty)
8. Is Set Free From Sin and Is Confessional
9. Holy (act as we believe, integrity)
10. Deals Well With Change (especially pastor transition and parishioners coming and going)
